CLEO Virtual Ethics Training

Thanks to enthusiastic feedback from members, we’re thrilled to announce CLEO’s AB 1234-Compliant Virtual Ethics Training on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 6:00–8:00 p.m.

This interactive session is your opportunity to fulfill your state ethics training requirement and strengthen your foundation as a public leader — from the convenience of your own home.

Led by California Policy Center attorney Myron Steeves, the virtual training is fully compliant with the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) Regulation § 18371 and California Government Code § 53235.2. It covers both ethics laws and principles, including:

  • Laws governing personal financial gain

  • Conflicts of interest and campaign contributions

  • Open government requirements (Brown Act and Public Records Act)

  • And more!

Our in-person attendees last month gave the session rave reviews for its lively discussion and the opportunity to engage directly with an expert. We’re offering this virtual option so members statewide can experience the same dynamic and informative training.

The virtual training is exclusive — and free — for CLEO members, and participants will receive an official certificate of completion.
