Parental Rights Update: Virtual Event with Asm. Bill Essayli
Discussion on the bombshell admission in court last week by the California Attorney General’s office that California Dept. of Education guidance directing school boards to keep secrets from parents regarding a student’s gender identity is not enforceable.
Asm. Essayli issued a statement after California Attorney General Rob Bonta admitted in court that California Department of Education guidance directing school boards to keep secrets from parents regarding a student’s gender identity is not enforceable:
“This admission in court that California Department of Education guidance to keep secrets from parents is unenforceable is a victory for parents and school board members who will not be intimated by empty lawsuits and threats,” Essayli said. “I encourage every California school district to immediately repeal any secrecy policies that were implemented as a result of the unenforceable guidelines illegally issued by the Department of Education.”
