Ethics Training
CLEO is pleased to offer AB 1234-compliant Ethics Training exclusively to our enrolled members on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Irvine, CA. Location provided upon registration.
This in-person training, led by California Policy Center attorney Myron Steeves, is fully compliant with the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) Regulation § 18371 and California Government Code Section 53235.2, commonly known as AB 1234, as well as for school board members under the AB 2158 requirement. It covers both ethics laws and ethics principles, including laws governing personal financial gain, conflicts of interest and campaign contributions, gift limits, open government requirements (Brown Act and Public Records Act), and more.
CLEO’s training session is offered exclusively to currently enrolled CLEO members at no charge at a convenient location near John Wayne Airport in Orange County. Attendees will receive an official certificate of participation upon completion.

About Myron Steeves

Myron Steeves is the founder and managing attorney at the California Center for Nonprofit Law, and former dean of Trinity Law School. He serves as General Counsel to the California Policy Center. Steeves is an active member of the nonprofit committees of both the California Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He earned his law degree from Georgetown University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Biola University.
